Accessibility
Last updated: 18 October 2026
Choosable is built for people with disability, their families, carers and supporters, so we want everyone to be able to use it. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, and we keep improving the site as we learn.
What we've done
- You can use the whole site with a keyboard, with a clear focus outline and a "Skip to main content" link.
- Pages use clear headings, landmarks and labels so they work with screen readers.
- Text and buttons meet colour contrast guidelines, and you can zoom to 200% without losing content.
- Images have text alternatives, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Every map has a list alternative, so you can find providers without using the map.
- Forms have visible labels, clear error messages and don't time out.
- We write in plain English and explain NDIS terms.
Known limitations
- Some provider profiles include logos, photos and descriptions supplied by providers. We ask providers to add text descriptions for their photos, but some may be missing.
- Maps rely on visuals. Use the list view or search by suburb instead.
- Some links take you to other websites, such as the NDIS and NDIS Commission websites, which have their own accessibility features.
