Evening, night, weekend and public holiday supports have higher price limits. If one support runs across two time bands with the same worker, the higher price limit applies to the whole support.
- Weekday daytime: starts at or after 6:00 am and finishes by 8:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
- Weekday evening: starts at or after 8:00 pm and finishes by midnight, Monday to Friday.
- Weekday night: starts before midnight and finishes after midnight, or starts before 6:00 am, on a weekday.
- Saturday or Sunday: any support that starts and finishes on that day.
- Public holiday: any support on a public holiday in the state or territory where the support is delivered.
- Overnight sleepovers have their own price limit. Choose "Overnight sleepover (personal care)" in step 1.
The price limit depends on where the support happens, not where you live. Most cities and regional towns are Standard. Remote and Very remote price limits apply in areas classed as MMM 6 and MMM 7 under the Modified Monash Model, and in a few towns the NDIS has reclassified. If you're not sure, ask your provider or plan manager.

- Read your margin per hour, per shift and per week, and the most you can pay before you lose money.
How the NDIS price limits are built
The NDIA sets price limits for support work using its Disability Support Worker Cost Model. It starts with award pay rates for four levels of support worker, then adds shift loadings, leave and super, operational overheads (like supervision and time that can't be billed), corporate overheads and a small margin. This calculator follows the same steps, so you can swap in your own numbers.
Frequently asked questions
Where do the default numbers come from?
The default pay rates, leave, super and overhead percentages are based on the assumptions the NDIA published in its Disability Support Worker Cost Model 2026-27. They describe an efficient provider, so your real costs may be higher or lower.
Why is my margin so small?
The NDIA's model assumes a margin of about 2% at the price limit. If your overheads, pay rates or non-billable time are higher than the model assumes, your margin will be smaller or negative.
How do casual workers change the result?
Casual workers get a casual loading instead of paid leave. Depending on your overheads, casual shifts can cost more or less than permanent ones.
Does this include travel time?
Time workers spend travelling between clients that you can't bill is part of operational overheads. Some travel can be claimed under the NDIS Pricing Schedule. Check the rules for the support you deliver.
Can I charge more than the price limit?
Not to participants whose funding is NDIA-managed or plan-managed. Self-managed participants can agree a different price, but it still needs to be value for money for them.
Is what I enter saved?
