Grey River VIC 3221
Standard (MMM 1–5)NDIS pricing zone: Standard
Modified Monash Model category: MM 5 (Small rural towns)
What this means
Supports delivered here use the Standard price limits. For example, personal care on a weekday daytime is up to $73.58 per hour.
How the NDIS decides if an area is remote
- It's about where the support happens. The pricing zone depends on where the support is delivered, not where you live.
- Most places are Standard. Areas classed MM 1 to MM 5 under the Modified Monash Model use the standard price limits.
- Remote and Very remote. Areas classed MM 6 use the Remote price limits, and MM 7 use the Very remote price limits.
- Isolated towns. The NDIS treats some towns surrounded by remote areas as Remote or Very remote, even if their Modified Monash category is lower. They're listed in the NDIS Pricing Schedule.
- No loading for some supports. If a support doesn't list a remote or very remote price, the standard price limit applies everywhere.
Frequently asked questions
What is the Modified Monash Model?
The Modified Monash Model (MMM) is the Australian Government's way of classing places from MM 1 (major cities) to MM 7 (very remote communities), based on remoteness and town size. The NDIS uses it to decide which price limits apply.
My suburb is split between zones. Which one applies?
The one where the support is actually delivered. If a suburb is partly remote, check the exact address in the Health Workforce Locator, or ask your provider or plan manager.
Why is my town Remote here when its Modified Monash category is lower?
The NDIS has an Isolated Towns list. Towns on it are treated as Remote or Very remote for pricing because they're surrounded by remote areas and cost more to deliver supports in.
Does this affect self-managed funding?
Price limits don't apply to self-managed funding, but they're a useful guide to what's reasonable in your area.
How up to date is this?
It uses the Modified Monash Model 2023 and the Isolated Towns list from the NDIS Pricing Schedule 2026-27. We update it when either changes.
