NDIS Quote Checker

Got a quote or service agreement from a provider? Add each line to check it against the NDIS price limits. Nothing you enter is saved or sent to us.

Using: NDIS Support Catalogue 2026-27 v1.1, effective 24 September 2026. Prices include GST.

How is this support funded?

Price limits apply to NDIA-managed and plan-managed funding. If you self-manage, they're a useful guide.

Where is the support delivered?

The price limit depends on where the support happens, not where you live. Most cities and regional towns are Standard. Remote and Very remote price limits apply in areas classed as MMM 6 and MMM 7 under the Modified Monash Model, and in a few towns the NDIS has reclassified. If you're not sure, ask your provider or plan manager.

How to use the quote checker

  1. Choose how the support is funded and where it's delivered.
  2. Add each line of the quote: the support, when it happens, how many hours (or items), and the price the provider quoted.
  3. Check each line's status and the summary. Lines over the limit are marked in red.
  4. If something is over the limit, ask the provider to explain or revise the quote before you sign a service agreement.

What to look for in a quote

  • Support item numbers. A good quote lists the NDIS item number for each support, so you can check the right price limit.
  • The right time of day. Evening, night, weekend and public holiday rates are higher. Check the quote uses the rate for when the support actually happens.
  • Travel. Some providers charge for travel time or kilometres. For some supports, travel has its own item and a lower price limit.
  • Cancellations. Check how much notice you need to give and what you'll be charged if you cancel late.
  • Non-face-to-face time. Some providers charge for work done when you're not there, such as planning or writing notes. This should be agreed with you first.
  • One-off fees. Some providers charge an establishment fee when you start. Ask what it covers.
  • Group supports. If you share a support with other people, the price limit is shared between you.

Frequently asked questions

Can a provider charge more than the price limit?

Not if your funding is NDIA-managed or plan-managed. The price limit is the most a provider can charge for that support. If you self-manage, price limits don't apply, but your spending still needs to be value for money.

What if my quote doesn't include item numbers?

Ask the provider which NDIS item number each line uses. If you can't get them, search for the support by name in the checker and choose the closest match, but keep in mind the result may not match the provider's claim.

Can a provider charge for travel?

For some supports, yes, within the rules in the NDIS Pricing Schedule. Some supports have their own travel item with a different price limit. Search for the support in the price limit checker to see its related items, and ask the provider to explain any travel charges.

Should my quote include GST?

NDIS price limits include GST. Most disability supports are GST-free, so you shouldn't usually see GST added on top. If a quote adds GST, ask the provider why.

What's an establishment fee?

Some providers can charge a one-off fee when you start with them, to cover the work of setting up your supports. It has its own price limit. Search "establishment fee" in the price limit checker to see it.

Is what I enter saved?

No. The checker works in your browser. Nothing you type is saved or sent to Choosable. If you close or refresh the page, it's cleared.
